Greetings and Welcome to the Tidewater Region of the United States Equine Rescue League Home Page.
The United States Equine Rescue League, Inc. (USERL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded for the protection of equines. There are now 4 operational USERL states in the U.S.: North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky. The USERL regions within these states operate under the corporation of USERL.
MISSION STATEMENT
The United States Equine Rescue League (USERL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the compassionate care of equines. Our mission is to save, protect, and rehabilitate equines in need. We rescue abused, neglected, or abandoned equines; provide them with care and rehabilitation; and finally find them a compatible, loving home. We believe that education is the long-term solution to improving the lives of equines.
The Tidewater Region is made up of the folllowing regions: Prince George, Surry, Sussex, Isle of Wright, Greensville, Southhampton, Suffolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach.
All of our work is made possible by loving volunteers. So if you are a Equine lover or animal lover that is willing to donate some of your love and time to a very worthy cause contact us. We are in desperate need of foster homes and foster homes with training experience are especially needed. If interested please fill out a Foster or Volunteer application.
In 2008 over twenty-five local horses have been given a second chance at a happy life.
Donations of feed, hay, shavings and grooming supplies are needed.
Thank you for visiting our website.
